The Soup That Started My Cozy Era

This Tomato Egg Drop Soup is what I call a “lazy day lifesaver” I first made this soup on one of those chaotic evenings when I was this close 🤏🏻to ordering takeout. I tossed in some tomatoes, cracked a few eggs, and somehow ended up with the coziest thing I’d ever cooked.

The eggs turned silky, the broth smelled like home, and the tofu just melted right in. It wasn’t fancy, but it hit that warm, nostalgic spot — the kind of meal you keep making again and again without ever getting tired of it.

Now, it’s my go-to “reset soup.” Easy, humble, and always a little magical.

The base is simple — a blend of tomatoes, chicken stock, and a hint of ketchup for sweetness — but the flavor is surprisingly rich and well-balanced. It’s light yet filling, bright yet soothing. Basically, everything you want when life calls for comfort food that doesn’t take hours.
